National Corn Dog Day was inaugurated in Corvallis, Oregon, in 1992 by Henry Otley and Brady Sahnow. The first celebration was informal, involving basketball and corndogs. However, National Corn Dog Day has expanded over the years, including tater tots, beer, and expanding to other cities.
At present, Foster Garms, a poultry producer based in Livingston, California, and Jones Soda, which is a beer company based in the Midwest.
